“For three years, 50 undergraduate members of the Phoenix Group have been living in a section of the new Ashdown graduate residence (NW35), shaping what will become the first undergraduate community to occupy the renovated building W1 in fall 2011. W1 is a historic residence at the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and the Charles river that will open in 2011 as Maseeh Hall, named in recognition of a generous gift from Fariborz Maseeh (ScD '90). The building also features The Howard Dining Hall, a beautifully appointed dining facility for Maseeh Hall residents and the campus community.
The Phoenix Group is excited to form the nucleus of that 462-resident community - a community committed to supporting a healthy, creative, and well-rounded undergraduate experience through inclusiveness, mutual support, and stimulating living and learning activities. We look forward to welcoming the next generation of students to the Phoenix community at Maseeh Hall.”
