Guest, Program & MIT Affiliate Housing

IMPORTANT! The guest and group housing applications for summer 2015 are now closed.

MIT offers short-term summer housing (mid-June through early August) on campus for eligible single guests, conference visitors, and MIT affiliates.

Visitors are eligible to live on campus during this period if they belong to one of the following groups:

Department-sponsored groups and programs—groups brought to campus by a sponsoring MIT department, lab, or center.

Department-sponsored guests—lecturers, researchers, consultants, or academic visitors invited to campus by an MIT department.

Undergraduate summer housing
Registered MIT undergraduates and incoming first year students who wish to stay on campus this summer should visit the Student Summer Housing section.

Wellesley undergraduate students
Wellesley undergraduate students who will be registered for a class, participating in a UROP, working with a department, or doing paid research, are eligible for undergraduate student housing. Before registering for housing, you must have an active MIT ID number. Learn more about participating in a UROP or registering for a class.

Once you have an MIT ID number and have completed the process with the Registrar's office, please email residence@mit.edu.

Prospective students
Prospective students planning to visit campus should contact the MIT Admissions Office to arrange accommodations.

Graduation accommodations
